Diesel is a very sweet and affectionate lummox who thinks he is a tiny lap dog. He was apparently well treated by his original owners as he feels very comfortable getting on couches and beds unless you tell him to stay off (which he usually does). He pulls a little on walks but only when he see or smells something of interest, otherwise he walks right next to you most of the time. He has no toy or food aggressions and is actually very submissive towards Gretchen his foster doggy sister. He is usually pretty calm and relaxed but can get a crazy burst of energy and start jumping around. Since he doesn't realize how big he is, he can jump up on somebody and hurt them but this is mostly just due to being a young dog and I am sure he will grow out of this. He absolutely hates being crated and gets very stressed out with continual panting and drooling and lots of very loud whining and barking while crated. On the bright side, I have recently stopped crating him and he doesn't do any damage in the house while I am gone. He does play with a variety of toys and eats and drinks plenty of food and water. Also, he does have some training as he sits and lays down pretty well on command. If you would like to meet him please fill out an application on our web site www.azmastiffrescue.com
Diesel is doing great in his foster home he hates a crate but does fine in the home while the foster is at work. He LOVES to play and is doing better on a leash. He is still strong and being a corso needs that pack leader but he is open to it and not a assertive dog at all. Diesel should go into a home with another dog as he likes having that second dog there and he is Very social. He is fine with smaller dogs and can be tested with cats. He has wonderful house manners and knows his basic commands. He is a big 18 mon old 135lb puppy. He is super adorable and LOVES attention. He is a big Marmaduke dog that needs walks or hiking or ways to use his energy.
